About GACA
By 1980 there was a need for collective voluntary action in the Glanmire area:
- To press for much needed services and facilities in the area.
- To unify the various strands of the Community by integrating old and new.
This collective voluntary action was to emerge in a Community Council and then in February 1990, a Limited Company called the Glanmire Area Community Association or the GACA in short, was formed. Its main objective is to assist all local Voluntary Organisations.
Located in the old schoolhouse at Riverstown Cross, the Community Centre is open from 9am – 10pm and the Office is attended from 9.30am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday and on request at weekends.
Sub-Committees – New members always welcome
